It took a while for me to realize a picture is worth a thousand words. I read a lot and there have been many one-thousand-word passages that have changed my perception, altered my perspective and affirmed my position. Words for me tend to linger. Even after I can no longer quote them, their essence remains and merges and enlightens.
Pictures – that I had created or not - did not normally affect me like that. Learning Photoshop and the transformative nature of cropping helped, but still did not equate to the ratio suggested.
Visualization however has crystalized this concept for me. “Picturing” it in my head has cleared paths so I can see where I am and where I want to go. I now create vision boards and construct Venn diagrams for everything I make.
My latest life hack is making a notebook for each of my projects. Simple composition books, where I set a plan, document my progress, note its details and ask the questions that need to be solved. I collage the covers turning them into vision boards and tape related images and information to the inside pages along with my other notes.
These creative journals are the perfect marriage of words and pictures that spawn energy to an idea and invoke the Law of Attraction. I’m at my most productive and life is wonderful.
